Description:
BEEE Creative in collaboration with Dance Now at Trestle Arts Base are delighted to share our Dance Re:Ignite project with the people of St Albans. Our community cast of dancers, led by professional dance artist Dawn Hudson, have specially created a storytelling dance piece to perform for people, communities and those who are socially isolated in their own homes. The group are available to perform and lead a workshop from April – June 2022. We are inviting the local community of St Albans and surrounding areas to nominate venues or individuals to receive one of 5 performance slots available.
Options for the visiting group to deliver:
Performance: A short dance piece no longer than five minutes, performed by a group of 8 adults
Workshop: After the performance, Dawn and dancers can lead a dance / movement workshop for your community group (residents / neighbours) to join in with. This will be suitable for all levels and abilities (can be done seated or standing) and no previous dance experience is needed.
Doorstep performance: performed on the doorstep of an individual or in the street of a group of neighbours.
Broadcast performance: a performance and workshop online via Zoom, for individuals to watch and join in from home.
