Welcome to the LEAP Resource Suite
Creative dance meets digital technology for primary schools
LEAP is a vibrant dance and interdisciplinary programme designed for primary-aged children. Rooted in creative exploration and co-creation, LEAP brings together movement and digital technologies to open up exciting new ways for children to make, experiment and express themselves.
Now, for the first time, you can access the resources developed through the LEAP project — a professionally designed suite of six downloadable resource packs, available to purchase individually.
What is LEAP?
LEAP was created to inspire children and educators to explore the intersection of dance and digital creativity. Each resource pack offers a starting point for collaborative creation, blending dance with:
- Dance & Animation
- Dance & Film
- Dance & Music Making
- Dance & Augmented Reality (AR)
- Dance & Photography
- Dance & Installation
These resources were never designed to be delivered “to the letter.” Instead, they act as creative springboards — frameworks that encourage experimentation, adaptation and playful discovery.
The LEAP Springboard Principles
Everything in the resource suite is guided by our core creative values:
- There is no right or wrong way to create
- Everything is an experiment
- Create first, make it better later
- Everyone is a teacher, everyone is a learner
These principles empower both educators and children to take creative risks, build confidence and explore new technologies without fear of “getting it wrong.”
What’s Included in Each Resource Pack?
Each pack has been carefully structured to support teachers, dance artists and creative practitioners in delivering engaging, interdisciplinary sessions.
Every downloadable pack includes:
- Clear Schemes of Work
- Detailed Lesson Plans
- Practical Flash Cards
- Comprehensive Supporting Materials
The resources provide multiple entry points, offering flexibility for different teaching styles, settings and levels of experience in dance or digital media.
Important Information About Apps & Devices
Each resource pack has been designed around a specific app.
Most of the packs were developed using iPads and apps available via the App Store. Before purchasing, please ensure:
- You have access to the relevant device (primarily iPad)
- You can download and run the named app
Each product page clearly states which app is required.
