We commission professional, nationally recognised artists to work with our local communities in new and ambitious ways but equally facilitate conversation and sharing of good practice, skills development and employ local dance practitioners who are essential in reaching out into communities.

Project Artists

BEEE Creative commissions leading artists in dance, other arts and technology and connects them to our local communities. We take risks and are ambitious in the programming, making space to try new approaches like combining dance and other art forms, embedding technology in the creation and presentation of dance, site-responsive or heritage-based exploration. We find new ways to tell the stories of participants and ensure their voices and contributions are valued.

Dance Artist Network

Our overall strategic framework makes space for a more place-based approach. The insight we get from our local partnerships combined with a network of local dance artists allows us to customise activity so that it has the most impact in each area. The network encourages collaboration and sharing of dance practice in community settings.
