PERFORM TRANSFORM will be a programme of heritage, arts and technology activities in Watford, Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth and Royston museums uncovering and sharing stories of local residents with two years of events, residencies and exhibitions in the community, museums and on new digital platforms.
We are looking to commission ten artists/practitioners – two artists working together at each of the five museums involved. We are open to proposals from artists/practitioners who work in any medium (including but not limited to dance, film, music, visual arts, digital arts or technology), but are interested in collaboration with dance, mixed disciplines and heritage. It is essential to demonstrate expertise in engagement with communities, including working with children, young people, families and adults. We are open to applications from individual practitioners/artists who are happy to be paired up or, to receive a collaborative application (one dance artist and one artist/practitioner from another discipline).

Schedule: January 2023 – July 2024
Fee: Fees calculated on an individual practitioner basis depending on hours confirmed (guide: £30 per hour / £200 per day / approximately £4,000 per artist/practitioner)

Location: either – Hitchin, Letchworth, Watford, Royston or Stevenage
