EXHIBIT 2020

Exhibit 2020 aims to use arts and digital technology to inspire and motivate young people aged 11 -16 years old to engage with local museums by bringing collections alive and uncovering new stories. The project has an emphasis on skills development and promoting a positive sense of well-being in young people. The whole project includes: school and community outreach workshops, artist and young people residencies in museums to create Augmented Reality installations, Young Creatives producer/curator course and opportunities for work experience in the museums. The project explores the theme ‘Millennial and GenZ Childhood’ to find out what it means to be growing up between 2000 and 2020 and the impact rapid changes in technology have on the way people live and interact.
Exhibit 2020 is managed by BEEE Creative CIO, supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and is being produced in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire and Watford, Stevenage, St Albans, North Hertfordshire and Royston Museums.
