Dance and Animation Film Update

BEEE Creative has a long term collaboration with animation company Flicker Mill and Director Shaun Clark. Together we have created several short films including And Then They and In the Beginning. The content for the films has been created with communities across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. After the individual dance and animation projects with the communities come to an end, the films are then submitted to International animation and film festivals and screenings. Here is an update on the films’ success to date.

And Then They

'And Then They,’ is a digital 2D Animation and pixilation. In the film a collage of diverse voices emerge as people are interviewed about a character called Alex. Memories of Alex’s swamp-dwelling aspirations, mud-rolling weekends quickly unfold as the film becomes a poignant exploration of identity, prompting viewers to question how well we truly know others and the intricacies that shape an enigmatic figure like Alex.

In The Beginning

A digital 2D Animation and pixilation that was originally inspired by work with the Royston Museum, the Royston Cave and the Royston tapestry. The synopsis: Buried in darkness, a woman witnesses centuries passing by as she cries out to the world in search of her identity and place in the world.
