DANCE RE:IGNITE PROJECT ARTIST
I am never more content than when telling my story visually through my art – be that in photography or doodling away in my daily sketchbook journal. I use watercolour and fine liners to capture scenes of nature, and drawing beauty from everyday life.
My art education stopped when I was 14 so I have no formal training or qualifications, despite the fact that when I was young, I wanted to be an artist like my grandmother, whose home was full of her paintings. I didn’t realise then that this was her retirement passion. I’m not quite ready to retire - but I do want to be an artist when I grow up, and I’m getting there! I have had solo and group exhibitions; illustrated a book; and completed an artist residency with Hertfordshire Libraries.
I love hosting workshops and courses, where I share my passion for making art, and encourage people to experience for themselves the benefits of drawing, painting and doodling to mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
