DANCE RE:IGNITE PROJECT ARTIST
Jonathan “Stan” White’s music career spans four decades, beginning as a teenager in his hometown in the 1980s, as bassist touring internationally with the acclaimed Doncaster Jazz Orchestra. He spent the 90s working in theatres and clubs and in 2000 Stan became a member of Groove Armada’s live show, co-writing many tracks including the Grammy nominated global hit “Superstylin”, and “Edgehill” (from the 2001 movie “Tomb Raider”).
In 2007 Stan joined the ranks of dance music icons Faithless, performing over 400 arena shows and festival headline slots the world over. Other credits include John Squire (The Stone Roses), Manchester post-punk legends Magazine, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Mutya Buena (Sugababes), Candi Staton, Neneh Cherry, Paolo Nutini, Tony Christie, Weekend Players, Tatiana, Terry Reid, Richie Havens and Sir Tim Rice.
Theatre credits include Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s School Of Rock and Joseph (with Sheridan Smith and Jason Donovan), Chess (with the English National Opera’s 70-piece Orchestra, Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke), Hairspray, Dirty Dancing, Saving Grace (a new musical from KT Tunstall), Shrek the Musical, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and ABBA Voyage.
Stan also writes and records his own music and will be back on the road with Faithless in 2024.
